MySkyTonight was created with a simple mission: to make the wonders of the night sky accessible, understandable, and awe-inspiring for everyone, regardless of their background in astronomy.

Our Vision

We believe that looking up at the stars should be an intuitive experience. Modern technology allows us to pinpoint exactly what is happening above our heads, but that data is often buried in complex academic tools. MySkyTonight bridges that gap, combining precise astronomical calculations with beautiful, cinematic design.

Technology

Our platform is built on modern web technologies to ensure a fast, responsive, and engaging experience. We utilize:

• Next.js 14 for robust server-side rendering and rapid page loads.
• React Three Fiber for our interactive, real-time 3D models like the Cosmic Clock and ISS Tracker.
• NOAA & NASA APIs to source real-time space weather data and breathtaking imagery.
• HuggingFace LLMs to generate our unique "Dead or Alive" narratives, calculating the light travel time of distant stars.
